Akiva is based out of San Francisco. He is a Co-Founder at Semlr, a cloud-based content and knowledge sharing platform. Semlr supports enterprise collaboration, internal training, and client communication use cases.

Akiva began his career at Morgan Stanley IT, spending fourteen years in a variety of roles in New York and Mumbai, including leading E-Business, CRM, and Marketing systems for the Investment Management division. After leaving Morgan Stanley he had a small stint as COO of a boutique investment bank, before leaving for Berkeley, California to run software development for MSCI's Risk Analytics business. After four eventful years at MSCI, he decided to join an old friend from his Morgan Stanley days to start-up Semlr.

Akiva has an MBA from Wharton, an MS in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rochester.

He is an avid tennis player and a dedicated fan of Arsenal in the English Premier League.
